Write a short essay describing how college life in the U.S. differs from college life in your home country.

There are many differences between college life in the U.S. and college life in Korea.

Firstly, two nations have different cultures. Students studying abroad should overcome this problem. They always have open mind about foreign country and try to understand the culture of another nation. Of course, students studying abroad also need to comprehend the culture of other nations because there are many students from various nations. In my case, I was surprised about the roles of road. When I go to school, walkers in U.S violate traffic regulations in front of a traffic light. Also almost all divers yield to pedestrians. This situation, especially the later, cannot be imaged in Korea. Students studying abroad should accept and understand a cultural life and level.

Secondly, Students studying abroad need to change study ways. There are different educational systems between Korea and U.S. For example, students in Korea are familiar with and prefer self-study. They only listen lectures from teachers, write memo, memorize at home, and prepare for an examination. However, U.S is not. All students inquire questions beside the mark and searching questions and teachers sincerely answer the questions. If a student inquires silly questions, other students will ridicule and teacher hit the students. , Students studying abroad, especially Korean students, should adapt to new circumstances.

Lastly, in Korea, people think that students who have great grades real students. Almost all students overstudy during all day and teacher often use coercive measures. Students in Korea are good at those systems. They should throw away such thoughts in U.S. They try to find abundant experience form routine life. For instance, many people are in school. They might have various thoughts from different environments. Students studying abroad can easily learn and understand the culture of other nations.

In conclusion, Students studying abroad always respect and they are active about all problems.

review of bowling for Columbine

1. Bowling for Columbine is emotional and subjective.
2. This documentary is not organized.
3. Main topic is not clear.
4. Examples can adequately support its main topic and content
5. Consequently, this documentary is not a good film

The director might want to give warnings to citizens by showing reasons why American people possess guns, how many American people have guns, and how people easily come in contact with guns and ammunitions. He cannot provide to support his claims. Examples that he provides cannot adequately support the argument of documentary. Consequently, because main topic and content are unclear, he cannot deliver his arguments not convincing to audiences.

He gives example that is Columbine high school massacre to prove his clams. But this example misses the target. While this tragedy is focused on guns in documentary, the cause of this tragedy is not guns but school violence. Consequently, he fails to notice real causes to create this accident.
Also, first movie scenes that receive a gun from a bank by opening his account too generalize all situations. Maybe, other banks in other states might not present persons who open their financial records with guns. Although he wants to insist how easily people gain a gun by giving, it is not sufficient to prove his clam. However, K-Mart example is better than the example of the bank. That is way K-mart exists not a part of the state in U.S but the whole country. Also teenagers can readily purchase and contact guns and ammunitions, but banks are not. When teenagers open their accounts, who provide teenagers with guns and ammunitions. Nobody might bestow guns and ammunitions to them.
Lastly, he compares U.S with other nations such as Canada, German and Japan about guns accidents. Rarely happen accidents as guns in other nations. But this indication cannot bring up the level of security. Maybe, other nation might have the felonies of other types such murder as knifes. Even though Canadians do not lock their doors, this cannot show the feeling of safe satisfaction from criminal

In conclusion, this movie is not good film on the reasons mentioned. if he want to show proper claim, he show not general insistence but specific claim.

Education, bullying, and terrorism

Terrorism

Terrorism is one of the violations that people are against the law. People who do not have information about terrorism confuse other violations, especially an assassination, with terrorism. Both terrorism and assassination often have same purposes and utilize same methods. Therefore, persons do not know their exact definition.
Some people say that the purpose of terror is that person or people, who have been trained to kill someone, send their massages or faith and rarely ask money to government and citizen in order to accomplish their own goals. Sometimes, it is practiced to disturb political intention. However, those factors cannot distinguish Terrorism from other violations.
There is a different point. Terrorism is that people, who have been trained to kill someone, kill anybody. For example, we can compare 11/9 incident with John Fitzgerald Kennedy incident. People say that John Fitzgerald Kennedy incident is assassination and 11/9 incident is terror. Two incidents have similar to purpose related to politics and people or person who have trained committed. Also someone supported them or him.
What is different?
Different point is “randomly” and “indiscriminately”
Only fixed person died in John Fitzgerald Kennedy incident.
However, many discretionary people that although a few people might have political effects, most people might do not have one died in 11/9 incident.

Education

Education
It is difficult to define education, because its definition is a wide scope. That’s because people think education can be accomplish with textbooks at school and students only can learn knowledge from teacher at school. Actually, people in Korea have believed it. However, Nowadays its awareness have been changed. People think that education can accomplish outside without textbooks.
For example, when I was child, teacher gave me homework related to lesson and I ought to study with textbooks, sitting on the chair and watching regular education programs during each vacation. But these day, students visit museum, concerts, and famous places during vacation. Even, students can obtain leave of absence and then go any places during a school term.
I think that education is that students learn about knowledge from textbook and feel various feelings through attending evens such as concerts, museums and ceremony.
Ultimately, educations is that people raise personality through the all those,

bullying
Nowadays, this word is no longer unfamiliar in society. The figures of committing bullying increasingly have increased and bullying has been serious problems in society. After all, this becomes one of the violations. Bullying does not simply mean that people are inflicted by physical power.
In any group, there is friction between people. Although there is physical power, such conflict is not bullying. After conflict between people, they could easily are familiar and get along with each other.
In my case, one of my friends hated me and we fought. After fighting, we seriously talked about opinion we have different and we became close to friend.
However, bullying is not. They inflict and hit person or people many times. Of course, they utilize physical power and insult a people by calling them a various abuse. Sometimes there is sexual abuse. People inflicted received mental and physical pains at the same time.

A Capacity for Toy

Play is very important to animals. (Playing might improve evolutionary functions and develop social, neurological, or physical capacities.)

Nowadays, many experts have tried to study about paying related to animals and new information is found by experts.

- New information 1 : some animals might show much interest in humans’ play (an elephant try to imitate children's swinging many time but it cannot do it)

- New information 2 : some animals might show deep interest in themselves’ play(Alaskan buffalo plays by themselves on ice)

- New information 3 : some animal might play alone, using objects(Komodo in a British zoo, alligator in Georgia, gorillas and chimpanzees use objects such as a shovel, artificial water falling and dolls during playing)

- New information 4 : using playing with objects develop to social play(When dolphin at an oceanarium play with a feather, the others joined in and then play with it each other. Also lions and beluga whales play each other, using objects.)

- New information 5 : some animals recognize rules through training.( Elephants and dolphins can understand game rules)

- New information 6 : some animals find playmates and enjoy games across the barrier of species( Dogs can play with other animals. Also they get along with humans)

Columbine High School Massacre

The fourth-deadliest school killing is occurred by Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold at Columbine High School massacre. This incident seems to be elaborately prepared by two people, who have various weapons such as two 9mm firearms and two 12-gauge shotguns, pipe bomb and semi-automatic carbine, record and wrote their plans and their massage. They attempted to begins shooting in cafeteria (afterward, they moved into library to kill people) Also while they shoot gun, they killed cruel methods. For example, when a person struggled down the steps towards the bottom of the staircase, Klebold walked up to him and shot him in the back at close range. They then threw bomb in the Library Hallway, whose way is used by two guys when entering into cafeteria, 52 students, 2 teachers, and 2 librarians were hiding under to computer desk. After two guys saw police evacuating students, they began to shoot to policeman, who returned fire. They continued to kill students under the computer desk. At this point, there is one argument about "Do you believe in God?" Each student have different opinions and it caused many debates as to whether the official investigation thoroughly assessed all possibilities. This brutal massacre ended at 11:42 a.m. After at 11: 42, two men wandered around, indiscriminately, aimlessly shooting. The shooters re-entered the library and they shot themselves. Finally, two guys not only killed 12 students and a teacher, but also wounded 23 others in this accident.

A great deal of debate occurred about the killers' motivation and whether anything could have prevented the crime. Also this incident caused people to discuss about gun control laws, the availability of firearms in the United States, and gun violence involving youths. In response to concerns over the causes of Columbine and other school massacres, many schools instituted new anti-bully policies as well as so-called "zero tolerance" approaches to weapons and threatening behavior.

vers and expression

"Effect on Biodiversity"

There is a bacterium that is naturally toxic to certain beetles and insects. Scientists have taken the gene that produces the toxin in the bacterium and engineered it into potato and corn plants. Now the potato and corn plants produce the same toxin, so any of the beetles or insects that eat them are poisoned by the toxin in the potato and corn plants. As the plants produce their own insecticide, farmers do not need to spray them with conventional insecticide, with the result that there is less pesticide residue on these plants. In this sense, these GE plants are better for us. But they now contain a gene that produces toxins. Is this good for us?

As well as the target pests, many beneficial beetles and insects are killed. Monarch butterfly larvae died when they came into contact with pollen from GE corn. What will be the effect on beetles, mice, birds, etc. that eat the beetles and insects that have been poisoned by the toxin in the potatoes and corn? In other words, what will be the effect on the environment? Some fear that proliferation of GE crops may result in huge losses of biodiversity and all the dangers that entails.

The GE potatoes and GE corn just mentioned are meant to reduce the need for pesticide. Other plants are genetically engineered to withstand pesticide. A gene that is naturally resistant to Monsanto's Roundup herbicide has been inserted into canola. So a farmer can spray a field of GE canola with almost as much Roundup as he/she likes, and while the weeds will be killed, the canola will be unaffected. So herbicide-resistant GE crops may encourage farmers to use more pesticide. There would be more pesticide residue on these crops.

In some places, the bacteria needed for breaking down vegetable matter so that the soil is fertilized are being wiped out by excessive use of Roundup. The soil is becoming inert, and so much so that dead weeds do not rot.

When a farmer harvests a crop like soy, some falls on to the ground and may remain there till the following growing season, when it may grow spontaneously. If the farmer is growing a different crop, the soy is now unwanted, a weed, and the farmer may want to kill it with herbicide. Herbicide-resistant GE soy cannot be killed with ordinary herbicide and farmers in Argentina, for example, use a potent cocktail of different chemicals, including 2-4,D and, it is thought, Paraquat. This cocktail is causing environmental havoc. Some of the chemicals are blown by the wind on to neighboring fields, into streams and lakes, and on to people. It is causing skin blemishes on children, farm animals to be born deformed, bananas to sprout from the middle of the branch instead of the top, lakes filled with dead fish.

"Substantial Equivalence"

The biotechnology industry claims that genetic engineering is just like traditional breeding, i.e., GE plants are substantially equivalent to non-GE plants and, therefore, that they do not need any extra regulation. This is obviously misleading.
In traditional breeding, members of the same or very similar species are crossed to create offspring with some novel trait. This greatly limits the genes that can be combined. Furthermore, when different but similar species are crossed, their offspring are generally infertile, preventing inter-species gene combinations from propagating in the wild. For example, a donkey and a mare can make a mule, but the mule will be infertile, the end of the line for the combined genes.

Genetic engineering smashes these natural barriers. Using gene insertion, any gene from any plant, animal, bacterium, fungus or virus can be inserted into the DNA in reproductive cells of any other organism. If the resulting organism survives, it generally can pass on its altered DNA, along with and new traits, through normal reproduction. For example, genetic engineering enables scientists to create pigs which have human genes, genes which will be passed on to future generations.

So GE plants and animals are not substantially equivalent to non-GE varieties. But are they safe for us to eat? Do they need extra regulation?
There are indications that they may not be safe. An English scientist reported that rats fed GE potatoes developed cancerous tumors. The rats' brain size also decreased. The same scientist also fed GE tomatoes to rats. 7 out of 20 rats developed stomach lesions and died.

There are also problems within the Food and Drug Agency, the US agency with responsibility for regulating food. Because of inadequate legislation in the US, Monsanto's New Leaf Superior GE potato is not regulated. The potato has been genetically engineered to poison and kill the Colorado potato beetle. Because it produces its own toxin, the potato is registered as a pesticide. The FDA does not regulate the potato because it does not have authority to regulate pesticides. That is the Environment Protection Agency's job, but the EPA says the potato is a food.

The first GE crop to be commercialized, the Flavr Savr tomato, did not pass the required toxicological tests. Secret memoranda from the FDA reveal that the agency ignored warnings from its own senior scientists who pointed out that GE is risky. What is behind this situation? For one thing, there is a very close link between the biotechnology industry and the US government. The biotech industry has been well represented in President Bush's cabinet. Secretaries of Defence, Health, and Agriculture, the Attorney General and the chairperson of the House Agriculture Committee have had connections with Monsanto or the wider industry.
But would the manufacturer be irresponsible? Monsanto president has been quoted as saying, "Safety is the Government's responsibility."

So we do not know for sure if GE foods are safe. They may turn out to be harmful. There are many examples of new technologies hailed at first as great benefits to humankind, but later realized to be anything but a benefit. The effects of DDT were not known for decades. Likewise Thalidomide, which caused deformities in more than 100,000 babies. At the time of its approval in the EU and Canada, tests in laboratory animals showed no negative effects. Thalidomide's damage was revealed only over time, not in the drug's users, but in their children.

There is already at least one new disease linked to GE food. In 1989 eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome (EMS) hit the US. 37 people died and 1,500 were permanently disabled. EMS was linked to the consumption of a dietary supplement called L-Tryptophan. The batch of L-Tryptophan implicated in the outbreak was traced to Showa Denko, which had recently introduced a new genetically engineered bacterium into its production process.

These days, almost all nations are enacting laws to allow people to help a patient die and regulating its action through various and strict laws. This trend has become controversial at issue. Some people who believe in god or have religion insist that allowing people to help a patient die is obviously homicide. However, others who have thought that future and present time in so important disagree with it. Two opinions have been opposed each other.

It is very difficult for a family to decide whether one of the family member, who has serious diseases or involved in miserable accident and he or she can not do any mental and physical activities should die or not, if the family love him or her.

We see and here about Marin’s case and their family’s decision. I think we never criticize other people’s decision made by them.

Although all people should be protect by law (Bill of Law regulate and show that the right of all people are equal) if they are patient and the disabled or not, I think the right of other people is more important than the right of patient, who could be kept alive by the machines and is not unconscious. That’s because although we can not guess whether patient be alive or not, we see that other family members will have lived.

I think that Martin’s family members should help a patient die and Martin’s family should consider themselves. Although they love him, he might not want to be placed in painful situations in which family members are going to suffer form various factors such as money problem, nursing and so on because Martin he also love them.
Obviously, a few people will abuse a law as to way they kill people and ignore the right of patient. Although at that time other family member might sufferfrom serious critics, and have hard time to die one of the family member they might enjoy more comfortable and convenient after time passes.

Refusal creates considerable anger and aggression. Research on situation in which one-side person secretly loves somebody demonstrate that when one’s love in thwarted by someone, anger appears. Also there is experimental evidence that people who have been excluded from their group often express their anger to people who ignore them.

Some people in a group often reject or blame their friends or colleagues, expelling their friends or colleagues from a group. Most people, who were expelled from their group, do not get along with their friends or colleagues.

This anger extremely is expressed by using firearms. For example, two students who had been ignored, ostracized and criticized by other students had designed to kill their friends during one year and two students whose name is Eric Harris(18) and Dylan Klebold(17) killed and injured people including one teacher and 12 students died and 21 people were injured.

Because it is associated for people to between have privileges and duty to bring their arms, modern military and Americans society have been connected form the time of the ancient Greeks to 20th century. Many founders not only spent much money on militias but also were concern about standing armies to link between service and a full place in society.

This situation in which all people attend war is changeing. Corrently, only a few people war against the enemy, any more atteding war is not duty. Also ballt is limited in small area. That's why morden warfare has reduce considerable burden from citizen.

Commercial power is influencing on the news media’s contemporary treatment of crime and violence. a chain of causation

One of the famous inventions was paper.
Five thousand years ago, paper was invented in China. Before at that time, all people should write letters on woods to make books. It was very difficult for people to carry, store, and read that book because of volume. However, after making paper, all things were easier. Because people can carry books, many people can read them. Consequently, it spread information and many people can share knowledge with other people.
In Modern ages, newspapers and magazines were made to satisfy people’ an appetite for knowledge. Each is separately developed to meet each class.

P 133 - 3

When I someday discover that my son or daughter is prodigy, I will be worry about how should I raise son or daughter. And I might talk about him or her with my wife.
I think it is very important for parents to agree that this child is not a gift from god. God obligate to raise him for world.

Firstly, many prodigies have born in Korea. However, they are not prodigies now. I have thought that why have they become famous people. Of course, there are several problems.
One of the problems is in parents. Almost all parents in Korea have boasted their child to be a famous person, showing TV to testify their abilities. And most people gather around TV to see him or her. Although he or she could prove his or her abilities, he might receive much stress from periphery. These children might suffer from such a circumference and lost their interests. Maybe they want to become ordinary children.
Parents should talk with him or her to solve this problem. And they note to their children that where, what and how should his or her abilities use for other people. I think this might be an answer. Parents should bring him to volunteer organization. They might realize that why do they have abilities.

Secondly, prodigies might have unbalance between emotion and though or body and spirit. Because Korea education systems give all children uniform education system, parents should solve this problem by themselves, giving special education for prodigies.
If do not so, this might affect their child. They, in turn, could lose their abilities. Parents should provide predigest with much free time to enjoy and play with their friends and learn about other subjects except subject prodigies have interested in.

All considerations about prodigies, prodigies are born. But prodigies also are made. Parents should provide much free time to think, feel, enjoy, play with friends, family and alone, and learn something.

GRAPH SHOWIGN AVERAGE DAILY USE OF D.C METRO

How many people have used D.C metro during a day?
This graph describes average daily use of D.C metro.

This graph shows that the number of people reaches their highest level because man people might go to worksites or school during this time. On the contrary, the number of people falls to a low at 16:00. From 6:00 to 8:00, the number of people sharply increases. After 8:00 the number of commuter plummets until 10:00. After this time, the number of commuter surges on the increase till 14:00 because during this time people might go to somewhere to eat something for their lunch. After the number of people reaches a bottom at 16:00, the number of users again diametrically goes up at 18:00. This reaches the second peak. Maybe, people who went to worksites or school in the morning might return to their house. After the number of people noticeably decreases from 18:00 to 20:00, the number of commuter is little changed until 22:00.

small wonders

Many scientists have studied about whether prodigies are made or are inborn. But they can not yet explain that question.

Prodigies faster learn about thing than do ordinary people. For example, Son learn how to play chess game by merely careful observation and he became Vietnam’s youngest champion.

Scientists have long suspected and believed that prodigies are affected by cultural and biological factors and they are different from common people. Surely, prodigies have excelled abilities in many respects. Ordinary children can not do and focus on something in which children have interested. Prodigies do not so. They can spend much time on fields interested. Also researcher have studies about prodigies’’ brains by fMRI. Some startling factors are found. Compared with common child, prodigies have brains with six to seven times more metabolic activity in the right side of their brains and heightened activity in the frontal lobes. Average children never can utility this part of brain. But prodigies are different. They freely can do. Scientist believe that prodigies can muster the mental resources necessary to solve problems and learn and protect distractions and switch every efficiently between the brain’s left and right.

Many experts have argued that prodigies are nature and nurture. However, many strongly agree that prodigies are half born and made. This means that parents are important role raising prodigies.

The End of Suburbia

Before Second World War II, the economic of U.S.A was sharply increasing.

This wealth based on growing industry had invested in suburbia after Second World War II. Many apartments are built in suburbia, causing serious problems such as air pollution. During fifty years, more and more people had moved to suburbia because living suburbia has promised many advantages such as affordability, family life and so on. Consequently, all things, which are necessary for people who live in suburbia, should follow such as school and shopping center.

This suburbia has become American Dream. The American Dream of suburbia life has no future because oil problem. People in the world have used oil to develop in many fields. Building houses in suburbia should be required a high sum of oil.

Many people should buy their own cars to go to work, shopping center and school. Increasing cars caused the government to construct highways. These highways, in turn, increased the number of cars. The government planed to build public transportations such as subway and buses to protect increasing cars by policy and various public facilities regarding gas, electronic, water should be constructed to maintain people’ life in suburbia. Constructing power plants were required to operate public facilities and transportations. However these brought new problems. Much energy is required and it became more and more expensive.

Now, oil produces and consumes at peak but it will decrease more and more. Fossil fuel will be exhausted and this problem returns to people in suburbia. Consequently, American dream will be broken because of fossil fuels.

Many scientists and policy makers have argued and try to solve this problem about fossil fuels. They suggest some solutions such as hydrogen and without cars etc. However, above mentioned are not solutions because of disadvantages. There were disadvantages to use hydrogen. It is difficult to transport and there are other alternative energies such as water – power generation, natural gas, solar energy and then nuclear energy.

In the future, the life in suburbia will change into positive or negative phenomenon by dealing with fossil fuels and adopting new alternative energies.

1. What are some of the consequences of an aging population? In other words, what factors must be taken into consideration as the elderly begin to make up a larger segment of a country’s population than ever before? What needs will have to be must?
As the elderly people are increasing more and more, many problems will happen in our society. For example, there will be problems regarding tax, welfare facilities, jobs, and public transportation and so on. The government need have to take measures to meet the situation in advance. Although the goverment provide Many jobs for the elderly people this might cause them to tax reveneue to the government. The young people, in tern, may not be burden and tax from the elderly people might establish various welfare facilities and policy for elderly people.

my views regarding computer use

While before ten years ago a few students can control computers and do not know the terms of computer, currently almost all students are familiar with the terms of computer. Although few students have objected against using computers in class because of disadvantages such as harmful website, physical activities reduced and the lack of the social skills, I think that using computer provide students with many advantages; not only can students find various knowledge about subjects but also students can share information.

Firstly, computers are one of the innovational inventions, which have changed people’ life and intellectual level. Using computers has also changed them and people can aquire various knowledges. Generally students do not know information except knowledge you have studied or interested. However, these days, schools require students to learn various information related to course in modern society. Students can not do so because they do not learn about

p20

These days, almost all houses have personal computers. As personal computers become more popular as a medium for home entertainment, the demand for computers will continue to rise. Many people can use computers, which are located in private and public places. Therefore, children can have access to personal computers. This brings up serious issues. While some people insist that Children must be able to control personal computers, I think computers might be treated by children, after thinking power completed. That is why using computers in early age might be able to cause children to not only get diseases such as eyestrain and obesity but also stand in isolation.

Firstly and most importantly using computers gives children various diseases. In other world, Children using computer get diseases. Generally, children using computers might spend less time on physical activities. For example, one of my cousins always plays game in a house and he never does exercise. Consequently He is obeser than his friends and wear glasses. In addition, He often goes to hospital to catch a cold. If he tries to active with someone he will protect his body against diseases and be good in shape.

Secondly, children using computer stand alone. In other world, they can not improve their social skills. Generally, children could not control themselves. Therefore, they are easily addicted to games and spend much time alone. According to the survey, most of children using computers can not get along with other friends and they do not have careful concern.

All things considered, Children could be received harmful affects through using computer. It is no doubt that Children in early age prohibit using computers. After children have thinking power, using computers should be permitted

p15

1. There are two sorts of health concerns. One is physical concern . The other is mental health concern. Physical concern is that if children spend much time on using computers, they can not afford physical activities such as football game. Spending much time on using computers might causes children to get diseases. Because the strength of children’s body go down, they can not raise immunity.
Also, it can be create or lost several imaginations. Few children could not distinguish between reality and imagination. Therefore, they might might become deluded and committed a crime.

2. This is surprising event that 3-year-child can type his or her name on the keyboard to enter game. But parents think that it is possible for child to enter other harmful website. Also parents think other harmful facts related to son or daughter. Those facts are physical activity reduced and social skills deteriorated and so no.

3. It is very difficult for teacher to control computers classes. Because computers classes room is larger than general classes. Students in larger room could not focus on schoolwork. They also might do activities such as wet surfing, playing game, showing anther program not related to schoolwork. There it is import for schools to have well-trained teacher in special fields. The research of E.T.S. show using computers is effective in math. It means all fields in not necessary to use computers in classes. Schools should find useful subjects to in order to use computers in classes

Beyond Rivalry

Beyond Rivalry by written Elizabeth Stark argues about siblings between relationships.

There are two kinds of social connections. One is younger adult siblings including careers, marriage and families. The other is older adult sibling, which is consists of retirement, empty net and parents and spouse gone. People may be involved in group and drift from their sisters and brothers for reason of social connections.
However, they might return back to their sisters and brothers in later life. Among many reasons, the most important reason is critical events in life. Critical events can bring sibling together and deepen existing rift especially parental sickness or death.

Professionals have surveyed about sibling and found several results about 20% people either hostile or indifferent to their siblings because of inheritance dispute and animosity. Although there was lingering rivalry it was strongly weak to break off the relationship because just a few people had totally broken with their sibling. Another research shows closeness increases and rivalry diminish as coming of age. Only 4% people did not get along with brothers and sisters. Final research is that 53% people who contact their sister and brothers increased in late adulthood. That’s because there were four reasons; firstly they had more time before with family because career obligations reduced, secondly anxiety about sibling’s health, thirdly other source of contact and support diminished and finally need link to the past.

Apparent are some of facts to maintain connection, which are proximity and positive feeling. If sisters and brothers live near, they could easily meet each other. However, the real cause is that the sibling seems to evoke positive emotion based on the images or feeling related to early age. But they can not with sibling because safety net, same age and latent rivalry is consider.

There is a proverb in Korea that blood is darker that water. It means that sister and brothers’ relationship can easily break off. Although they quarrel and complete each other during a lifetime, they turn back to their sister and brothers to associate each other.

State Lotteries are Needed

These days, the economic of U.S.A. recess almost all marketplaces. Since this tendency has repeatedly and courteously circulated, states and local communities have gotten less revenue from tax collection. The states have found a new plan on getting revenue. This is lotteries!

Lotteries could give states essential funds. Although in the past, lotteries have been instrument used by government. Currently, many states can fund much money by lotteries. Money funded by lotteries has used various fields, especially primary and secondary education, welfare of individual financial assistance for education, etc. Also lotteries could create job related to lotteries and forth largest source of revenue. Of course, lotteries have disadvantage. Amount of money gotten by lotteries damage economy and exacerbate state budget problem while they reduce tax.

Although all lotteries have negative and positive effects, it is clear that states lotteries is efficient means to fund much money needed various fields without being a burden to people.

Leary et al. (2003) [excerpt] - 09/12/2007

social rejection was involved in most cases of lethal school violence.

he seemed unable to explain his actions.

a murderer’s stated reason for his behavior may reflect nothing more than a self-serving justification.

independent evidence from other students and teachers corroborates the presence of rejection in most of the cases.

It is also noteworthy that, to our knowledge, few of the perpetrators attributed their violent behavior to other equally plausible causes

Few individuals navigate their way through adolescence without being teased, bullied, or rejected in some manner

it is rarely sufficient to provoke premeditated violence even if the victim feels like killing people.

most of the perpetrators displayed at least one of the other three risk factors

a variety of psychological problems may be associated with an increased tendency for aggressive behavior.

certain personality disorders are characterized by aggressiveness, paranoia, low impulse control, lack of empathy for other people, and even sadistic behaviors, all of which may lower one’s threshold for violence

some instances of school violence may reflect extreme manifestations of an ongoing pattern of antisocial and aggressive behavior.

Many of the shooters had been in trouble previously for aggression against their peers

individuals who not only have access to guns but who are fascinated by firearms and explosives may be more likely to act on their aggressive impulses

other ‘‘dark’’ lifestyles may find the idea of carnage less revolting than most other people do

Thomas [1995] suggested that the painful feelings of shame that often result from rejection may provoke anger and aggression, much in the same way in which physical pain (such as slamming one’s own hand in a door) can make people angry.

we believe that the primary motive in most of the school shootings seems to have been retribution

many of the cases were characterized by both an ongoing pattern of rejection and a specific rejection experience, suggesting that the recent rejection may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back.

the evidence suggests that at least some of the perpetrators were seeking respect as well.

the Columbine killers fantasized that they would be famous and that movie directors would fight over making a movie of their story

the evidence that we obtained about the episodes from press reports may reflect reporters’ implicit theories about the link between rejection and aggression

we may have found evidence of such a relationship

We cannot discount this possibility but find it noteworthy than only a few of our sources drew an explicit connection between the rejection that the perpetrators had experienced and their subsequent violent behavior.

In most cases, information regarding the perpetrator’s relationships with other students was mentioned only in the context of describing the kind of person he or she was.

most of the perpetrators of these school shootings had been subjected to teasing, bullying, or other types of rejection

roughly 75% of elementary and middle school students are occasionally bullied at school

most of the shooters had experienced an unusually high amount of bullying or ostracism

peer mistreatment may evoke a catastrophic reaction.

1. Firstly, although normal shoppers might save their money except living expenses, compulsive shoppers gather most money not spending living expenses. Secondly the former tend to by necessary goods for them. However, the latter might purchase unnecessary items when they shop

2. Most of my friends who seem to be addicted to shopping say that we just buy needful items right now. But I do no think so. They usually relieve much stress. What is the cleverest animal?

Many people have raised dogs, which have been familiar with all kinds of human.
Why have people raised dogs for a long time?

That’s why dogs are one of the clever animals. Most know that how wonderful dogs are clever. I strongly believe that dogs are the cleverest animal in the world. After training, dogs can conduct cleverer actions than in past years. It seems that dogs understand human orders as well as sometimes behave like people.

We have seen and heard many clever dogs around in the world around us. For instance, although other animals might evacuate excrement here and there, dogs never do fundamental training. In addition, when a person, who has raised one dog in his house, moved into another place without his dog, the dog found out owner’s scent to back to the house. After all, he could find out owner’s house away from hundreds miles. Any animal can not remember a cold scent. It shows that dogs can save and distinguish information in brain.
By reason of above, dogs have been used by human in the field of stock breeding to protect other animals such as chickens, cow, and then pigs against ferocious beasts and hunting. There is no doubt that dogs have higher intellectual power than other animals.

Except above reasons, there are many reasons to prove that dogs are clever. I think what the lord of all creation select is the most important reason. If dogs are not clever, have human used them?

Academic - Non Academic

We talk about academic and non-academic in this class yersterday.
Obviously, there are points of diffences concerning this topic.

Firstly, academic writing involves specific theses and claims. These specific thesises and claims include terminology, citation, example, evidence which can support theses and calims.
In addiotion, preple who read academic writings find a formal structure, logics, objeictives in an academic writting.

In contrast with Acamdemic writing, non academic writing does not constrain. It has general terms all peoply can easily understand. While constrained people can read academic writings, all people can read and touch non academic writings. Non academic writings authors tend to write it without detail infromaion and have various topics. These various topics will create free structures.

Secondly, academic writings provide readers with purposes and particular infromaiton. Non academci wirting, howeve,r give people exciting and interesitng feelings and imaginations. For exampl, while textbooks are read by a few people who have interested in the related field, people of all ages and both sexes want to read non academic wirtings because they also supply experiences related to authors for them.

All things considered, these days, it is difficult for two types of writtings to distinguish because non-academic writings alsos involve the facts of academic writings.
However, there certainly are diverse differences between academic writing and non academic writing. That is why by above the fact of academic writings writings can be distingusihed.
